Deep Learning Session – Anomaly Detection with Variational Autoencoders

Lisbon, Portugal - Online

The Deep Learning Sessions are back! With all that has happened recently, we’ve been a bit less productive (who hasn’t right?), with a break without meetups during the beginning of the year. Now, we’ve adapted our meetups to be safer, doing them online, and more inclusive, being open to individual speakers (not necessarily affiliated to a hosting company) to present in our meetups. This will then be our first online and our first community-driven meetup, with an individual speaker.

In our first meetup of this outlier year, we think that it’s fit to start off with anomaly detection. Through our youtube live stream, we’ll decode the message that Variational Autoencoders (VAEs) can be applied to diverse scenarios, including in an unsupervised learning environment. With a thorough explanation of the concepts behind these architectures and an insightful overview of its potential use cases, you’ll discover a representation of an advanced and flexible anomaly detection technique.
